Retainers
A retainer is a custom-made, removable or fixed (permanent) appliance that helps teeth maintain their new position after braces have been removed. The use of a retainer is a very important part of post-braces care. Retainers can also be used to treat minor orthodontic problems.
Night guards
It is very common for people to grind or clench their teeth. This can lead to worn, flat and unattractive teeth. A night guard, also known as a dental mouth guard or a bite guard, is an appliance prescribed to patients to treat teeth grinding (bruxism) and clenching. In general, it protects the teeth and other vital structures by offering a protective barrier between the upper and lower teeth. Night guards can also help alleviate and remedy some of the complications that grinding and clenching can have on the temporomandibular joint (TMJ).
Mouth guards
Mouth guards are coverings worn over teeth, and often used to protect teeth from injury from teeth grinding and during sports.
